Electronic Music, Analogue Synths and me
The Quadraphonic All Stars is the latest incarnation of Stuart M Condé – an analogue synthesizer obsessive and songwriter from the UK.
Stuart worked as a professional recording engineer in the mid 90′s and has collaborated with a number of well-know producers, artists, and television companies – including the BBC.
“The Quadras is an excuse for me to mess around with this collection of old synthesizers that I’ve picked up on my travels over the last twenty something years. I’ve worked on various classical, acoustic and soundtrack projects but electronic music is in my blood”.
“Some musicians might reach for the acoustic guitar when inspiration comes, I reach for the VCO”
In all honesty, I have very few musical influences. Most of my song ideas come from movies, books or the media in general. I’m so used to using analogue synths that I don’t know how to produce music any other way.
I have an unashamedly old-school method of recording my songs. All of the sounds, including the drums and percussion were all multi-tracked or sampled from various old Moogs, ARPs, Monophonic Rolands, Sequential Circuits Prophets and that sort of thing.
I just do what I do and I hope you enjoy it…
